Phew, things have been really busy since the renovations of the studio began early on in February. Since picking up the keys on the 1st it’s been vacuumed, cleaned, vacuumed, painted, vacuumed, ‘wood-worked’, vacuumed, painted again and vacuumed all before the furniture, materials and equipment was moved in! If I never see another dusty, hairy carpet square it’ll be too soon, but we’re there – all finished!
The past month’s frenzy drew to a close last Tuesday in time for the start of Tall Amy’s Workshops, which kicked off the next day with two lots of Lampshade Making followed by Cushion Making on Thursday. Each group of of eager beavers threw themselves into crafting and conversation accompanied by some rather tasty cakes and lots of laughter.
I know that new skills were learnt and existing knowledge expanded resulting in fabulous, handcrafted items going home with each person (today’s pic is my group of Cushion Makers). Thank you to all crafters for coming along and making each session wonderfully productive and so much fun. I’m already looking forward to the March and April dates covering Cushions and Lampshades once again plus Bunting Making.
Tidying up after each workshop was also enjoyable as I reflected on the events of the evening. My smiles extended all the way to the washing up, but there was one bit they couldn’t quite reach. Yep, you’ve guessed it – the vacuuming!
Take care until next time, B x
